Love Island is a multi-headed hydra, a steamy reality dating franchise that originated in the United Kingdom before branching off into more than 20 other countries.
The U.S. iteration of the series, now in its seventh season, splashes down this week. Set on the island of Fiji, it brings together 10 singles in a luxurious villa under constant video surveillance.
The goal is to stay coupled up with another contestant (or many contestants) until the series’ end, as the last-standing couple leaves with a whopping $100,000. (And, hey, if they find love? Bonus.) In between cocktails by the pool, the singles compete in kooky challenges and go on dates (and even overnights) to strengthen their bonds.
“Temptations will rise and drama will ensue as Islanders face brand new couples’ challenges, jaw-dropping twists and turns, and even a few surprise guests in the vibrant Fiji villa,” reads the official logline for Love Island USA season 7.
Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix returns as host for season 7, and comedian Iain Stirling will again deliver devilish bon mots as narrator.

Love Island USA will air its first episode on Tuesday, June 3 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. During the premiere week, new episodes will air every day.
The following week, Love Island USA will air new episodes every day except Wednesdays. Like the premiere, they’ll air at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
