Donald Trump is insisting that there is no feud between Marco Rubio, his secretary of state, and Elon Musk, who is leading drastic cuts to the federal government through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The president dismissed reports of a dispute between the two at a Cabinet meeting this week, writing on Truth Social that the pair have a “GREAT RELATIONSHIP” and anything else is “FAKE NEWS.”
For his part, Musk replied to the post that he and Rubio had dinner on Saturday night and had a “great conversation.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland has been vandalized over his recent remarks about the future of Gaza beyond any ceasefire agreement with Israel.
The president has been accused of using “ethnic cleansing” rhetoric. Activists responded by covering the Ayrshire property with red spray paint and digging up the prized greens.
Trump said Friday that he’s “strongly considering large-scale sanctions” on Russia until a peace agreement is reached with Ukraine, but stoked anger saying it is easier to deal with them as Moscow again bombs Kyiv.

Trump back on the golf course for 14th time since inauguration
President Donald Trump is golfing this morning at his course in West Palm Beach, a short drive from his home at Mar-a-Lago.
This is his fourteenth-day golfing since returning to the White House on January 20 — and the costs are racking up.

Rubio will also meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, spokesperson Tammy Bruce said.
Following this, Rubio will head to Canada for the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting, scheduled for March 12 to 14, the statement added.
“Secretary Rubio’s engagements will further U.S. interests in peace and security, strategic cooperation, and global stability. Discussions will focus on conflicts in the Middle East and Europe, cooperation in Africa and the Indo-Pacific, and stability in the Western Hemisphere.”
On Friday, Rubio spoke with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, expressing that President Donald Trump aims to end the Russia-Ukraine war as quickly as possible.
Trump has suspended military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine following a White House confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on February 28.
Zelensky also mentioned his plans to visit Saudi Arabia for a meeting with Mohammed bin Salman on Monday and stated that Ukrainian diplomatic and military representatives would meet with the U.S. team on Tuesday.

Trump insists Musk and Rubio get on after reports of cabinet bust up
President Donald Trump is insisting that Elon Musk and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have a “great relationship” following reports of a confrontation between the two of them during a cabinet meeting this week.
Trump posted on Truth Social: “ELON AND MARCO HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP. ANY STATEMENT OTHER THAN THAT IS FAKE NEWS!!! DJT”
Later in the evening, Musk replied to a tweeted version of the post: “We just had dinner together. Good conversation.”
The alleged incident, at a meeting in which Musk’s powers were reeled in by the president, was mocked on Saturday Night Live last night:

DOJ now investigating soaring egg prices
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Justice Department sent a letter to egg companies instructing them to preserve documents about their pricing conversations with customers and competitors, in addition to communications with Expana, formerly Urner Barry, an American business publisher that tracks an egg index.
The department suggested that federal investigators want to review company communications about egg production and bird flu.

The golf course in South Ayrshire, owned by the president, was targeted overnight on Friday, with activists painting “Gaza Is Not 4 Sale” in almost 10-foot-high letters on the lawn and damaging the greens, including the course’s most prestigious hole, used in Open Championships.
Red spray paint was used to deface the clubhouse at the 800-acre resort.
Palestine Action described it as a “direct response to the U.S. administration’s stated intent to ethnically cleanse Gaza.”
