This U.S. Hub Is Getting New Budget Flights to Las Vegas, Phoenix, and a Popular Caribbean Destination—What to Know



Travelers in the Seattle area will soon have more options for low-cost domestic travel.

Frontier Airlines has just announced four new routes, including its first ever to Seattle Paine Field International Airport in Everett, WA. 

Beginning on June 2, the discount carrier will begin flights from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Seattle Paine Field International Airport (PAE) three times a week. Travelers can purchase introductory fare tickets starting at $39. 

At the same time, flights from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS) and from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) will fly to Seattle Paine Field International Airport three times a week. Those introductory fares start at $29. 

On June 19th, Frontier Airlines will launch a new route between Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) twice a week, with fare tickets starting at $79.

“We are proud to continue our rapid network growth, providing affordable travel to more people in more places both domestically and internationally,” Josh Flyr, vice president, network operations and design for Frontier Airlines, said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. “From the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest to the stunning tropical paradise of the Dominican Republic, to many destinations in between, there will be even more for budget-savvy consumers to explore this year with Frontier.”

The Dominican Republic is known for its long white Caribbean beaches, its tropical wildlife, and all-inclusive resorts, including the family-friendly Wave resort, part of the Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana in Punta Cana.
