This summer, hopping between the coast of Southern California and Utah’s rugged mountain landscapes will be easier and more luxurious than ever.
Semi-private jet company JSX has announced it’s launching a new route between John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County, California, and Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) beginning June 19. Flights will run once per day on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, and one-way fares begin at $259.
“Connecting Orange County and Salt Lake City is a natural fit for our brand and for our customers,” JSX CEO Alex Wilcox said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. “Summertime activities abound in both places and JSX’s signature service and convenience will make travel between the two as seamless as possible.”
JSX, which was named the top domestic airline in Travel + Leisure’s 2024 World’s Best Awards, offers a public charter jet service that shuttles between private hangars. The company is known for its stress-free approach to air travel, as it allows customers to bypass the hubbub of commercial terminals and await their flights in a comfortable private lounge.
Once on board, passengers can enjoy the comfort of flying on 30-seat jets with plenty of legroom, in-flight Wi-Fi from Starlink, power outlets at every seat, and complimentary gourmet snacks and alcoholic beverages. Additional perks include two free checked bags that are returned to passengers planside, as well as the ability to check in for domestic flights only 20 minutes before take-off. Plus many JSX flights let passengers earn United MileagePlus miles or JetBlue TrueBlue points.
The new route is sure to be a go-to option for flyers searching for a comfortable way to visit two quintessential summer destinations. Orange County’s beautiful beaches, abundant surfing, and luxury shopping, as well as its easy access to Disneyland, attract all types of travelers in the summer months, while tourists flock to Salt Lake City in warmer weather for its vast selection of hiking trails and other outdoor activities, including mountain biking.
And there’s even better news for travelers who’d like to bring a furry friend along on their summer adventures: JSX operates pet-friendly flights, with pet-owners able to buy a spot in the cabin for even medium-to-large dogs.
Fares for the new route are now on sale, and can be booked at jsx.com.
