The Snack Wrap Is Still Missing — but Popeyes Just Gave Us the Next Best Thing

For months, McDonald’s has been slowly teasing that it may or may not bring back its highly beloved Snack Wraps. No word yet on if that’s officially happening, but there is one place you can get that same vibe: Popeyes.

On Monday, the fast food chain announced it’s launching its Popeyes Chicken Wraps, which it says delivers the “same legendary Louisiana flavor with a whole new twist. Wrapped, packed, and made to move with you.”

As the brand explained in a statement, the wraps include a Popeyes hand-breaded and battered chicken tender, lettuce, shredded cheese, crunchy pickles, and are topped with your choice of a Classic, Spicy, or Honey Mustard spread, all “tucked into a soft, warm tortilla inspired by our famous biscuits.”

“With our new Chicken Wraps, we’ve taken our iconic chicken tenders and wrapped them in something completely new, bringing all that craveable crunch in a fresh, portable way,” Chef Amy Alarcon, vice president of culinary innovation at Popeyes, said. “We wanted to create a Chicken Wrap that was undeniably Popeyes. Infusing the flavors from our famous biscuit into our wraps was the perfect way to ensure our signature flavors shine through.”

Here’s the only sad part: The chicken wraps are only available for a limited time. The good news is the brand is selling them for just $3.99 each.

The wraps aren’t the only new offerings from Popeyes. The chain is also introducing new drinks, including Blueberry Lemonade (Chilled or Frozen), Blueberry Cane Sweet Tea, and Blueberry Unsweet Tea.

Both of these new additions would also pair nicely with Popeyes recently launched pickle menu, which includes the Pickle Glaze Sandwich, “a briny twist on the iconic Popeyes Chicken Sandwich,” the Pickle Glaze Bone-In Wings, which deliver “the perfect balance of savory heat and briny goodness in every bite,” and the Pickle Glaze Boneless Wings, which come with “all the crunch, all the flavor — none of the bones.” And, of course, there are fried pickles available, too.

“We’re pickle people, so we understand that there truly can never be enough pickles,” Alarcon previously shared with Food & Wine. “This pickle-packed lineup was created to ensure the perfect balance of crisp texture, vibrant acidity, and our world-famous Louisiana flavors with every bite. If you love that chicken, you’re going to love that pickle.”

However, this is also a limited-time offer, so make sure to take advantage of it while you can.
