Over the past few years, the skies have become less friendly. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a zero-tolerance policy for bad behavior on flights, but incidents of unruly passengers continue to shock the public. Although the number of cases has decreased since 2021, when incidents peaked, the FAA has still referred more than 310 serious cases to the FBI from 2022 through August of this year. From punching passengers to attempting to open emergency exits, these were some of the worst passengers of 2024 who made flying even more stressful than it already is.
P.S. You could be jailed, fined up to $37,000 per violation, or banned from flying if you cause a disruption on flights or interfere with the crew. If a flight is diverted because of unacceptable behavior, you could also be ordered to pay for the jet fuel.
