In every person’s kitchen, there’s an unspoken set of rules to abide by.
They vary from kitchen to kitchen, but every good cook has them. For example, in my kitchen, scrambled eggs are only made with butter, and fried eggs with olive oil. No exception. I also think toasted bread should be *extra* toasted, otherwise, what’s the point?
Of course, there aren’t actually any formal rules when it comes to cooking, and you should be able to make a dish however you want. BUT everyone has their culinary non-negotiables, and I’m curious as to what they are.
So, tell me: What’s the cooking-related hill you’re willing to die on?
Maybe you think chicken needs to be washed, or perhaps, you swear by measuring ingredients with your heart. Whatever it is, I want to know.
