Telemundo promotes World Cup 2026 and “El Señor de los Cielos” spinoff, “Dinastía Casillas,” … More
Ahead of its May 12th Upfront event, NBCU Telemundo Enterprises released its 2025-26 programming slate. At the heart of its vision: live, multiplatform content focused on original series, reality shows, special events and one of the biggest global sporting events – the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The network is increasing its live programming to over 70% of its lineup, totaling nearly 5,000 hours in the next year. Beyond linear TV, Telemundo plans to continue boosting its audience reach via streaming on Peacock, the Telemundo App, FAST channels, and social media.
A major highlight for the season is Telemundo’s exclusive Spanish-language coverage of FIFA World Cup 26™, which will be broadcast across all platforms. The network’s sports slate also includes the NBA, Premier League, and NFL’s Super Bowl LX, supported by the launch of the 24/7 FAST channel Telemundo Deportes AHORA.
”We will continue to make the necessary investments to deliver unparalleled reach. From the coverage of the historic FIFA World Cup 26™ to our compelling realities, unforgettable dramas and essential breaking news, we are upping our commitment to serve Latinos with relevant content that attracts audiences at scale, no matter where or when they want to watch it,” says Luis Fernández, Chairman, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
At its joint Upfronts presentation with NBCUniversal at Radio City Music Hall, Telemundo will showcase the vast potential of the Hispanic market through its diverse content and multiplatform offerings, which the network says are shaping the mainstream narrative of Spanish-language media.
