Survivor 47 is officially in the books with a worthy winner emerging victorious. But enough about that! Because it is already time to look ahead to next season!
At the end of the Survivor 47 finale, host and showrunner Jeff Probst unveiled the teaser for the next installment of the longtime reality franchise, which can be watched above. He also shared a few words about the new season with Entertainment Weekly. Plus, we have your exclusive first look at the official Survivor 48 logo, which can be seen below.

EW went on location in Fiji for filming on Survivor 48, and while we can’t say a lot yet about what we saw, we can report that the season features a cast full of huge personalities — more akin to what we saw on season 46, as opposed to the recently completed 47. And you see those personalities in full effect in the new teaser.
“When people see me, they assume that I’m going to be reading their tarot cards, but I’ve led $100 million projects for my company,” says one contestant, while another explains, “My parents would always say, ‘You’re going to be the first one sent home.’ Like, they came up with the reasons as to why I would just be like the first boot! I’m too weak. I’m not friendly enough. I’m weird.”
Yet she may not even be the weirdest one on her tribe. Witness the guy pointing to his bicep and proclaiming, “You all know why I have muscles? I drink so much chocolate milk! It has the perfect protein to carb ratio. That’s all chocolate milk!”

Of course, there are people viewers will instantly root for as well, including one player who explains, “I am on the autism spectrum, but I’ve always looked at my autism as a gift. Being a physicist, being an engineer, playing men’s hockey — this does not scare me at all.” And there’s also the hunk with the heart of gold in the form of a hopeful who professes, “Being a single dad, I’m out here to walk away knowing that when my kids watch this, I want them to look at me and say, ‘I’m proud of him.'”

Even with all those big personalities, what will pique fans’ interest the most are two moments that come from the host himself. At one point, Probst yells out “Stop! Medical!” during a challenge. Does this mean another medical evacuation is coming? Not only that, but we also see the Hostmaster General deliver a tantalizing line at Tribal Council, proclaiming, “This is a historic moment.” Whenever history is being made on season 48 of a show, that is certainly noteworthy.

We asked Probst what else he could divulge about next season. “I am VERY excited for Survivor 48!” says the host. “That’s all I will say. Let’s gooooo!”
Judging by what we saw while out in Fiji, we share that same enthusiasm. Check out the official teaser at the top of the article for yourself, and then go stock up on chocolate milk before Survivor 48 premieres Feb. 26 on CBS.
