Senegal is renowned for its vibrant surf scene, with powerful Atlantic swells along West Africa’s coast offering perfect conditions for the sport. Yet, limited access to equipment, training, and opportunities often leaves aspiring local surfers stuck on the sidelines. That could soon change, as Senegal’s first professional surfers, Ibra Samb and Charif Fall, are spearheading a new initiative to bring surfboards into the country and help the next generation ride the waves.
