Russia on Friday launched one the heaviest bombardments on Ukraine’s energy sector in the past three years, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, with transport networks and other key facilities also targeted. Around half of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been destroyed during the war as Russia has sought to overwhelm Kyiv’s air defenses with large numbers of missiles and drones.
