US President Donald Trump has announced he expects a minerals deal with Ukraine to be signed “very shortly”, without giving details. The US is reported to be seeking new, more favourable, terms in return for investing in Ukraine’s valuable minerals sector, which has an estimated worth of over $11 trillion.
