Motocross racer Carey Hart was recently hospitalized after experiencing a “nasty” crash while practicing — but he’s mainly sorry for putting wife Pink through the ordeal.
The professional motocross, motorcycle, and off-road truck racer, 49, shared a series of images documenting the grisly injury he sustained in a Saturday Instagram post.
“Welp, I ran out of talent,” he joked, explaining, “I had a pretty nasty get off, practicing Thursday morning. Landed off a jump, bars knifed, and took the bar to the gut while going over the bars. As I understand it, severed my small intestine from my colon.”
Hart assured his 1.3 million followers that he is “fine and will recover from this.” But he took care to thank his wife of nearly 20 years.
“As always does in these situations w/ me, she steps up and takes charge at the hospital. Sorry to put you through this, yet again,” he wrote.
The racer looked perfectly composed in the first of six photos shared alongside his message to Pink. But the second and third photos show Hart with several large bandages covering portions of his abdomen, and then the injury itself. A scar now stretches nearly the length of his mid-section, from ribs to bellybutton, and is held closed by 20 staples.

Hart also shared a photo of the two children he shares with Pink — Willow, 13, and Jameson, 8 — visiting him in the hospital.
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, met Hart at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia. After a brief split, the couple married in 2006. Nearly two decades together, and Hart still celebrates their anniversary every year on social media, writing back in a January post, “For over 20 years we’ve traveled the world, made a family, and created amazing memories & life together. Not bad for a couple kids who weren’t expected to amount to anything. You are like a fine wine, and I love you.”

Hart knew he ought to apologize for the crash, however. Pink made her frustrations with the hazards that come with Hart’s line of work clear in another January social media post, playfully responding to Hart’s vow to “rise above” a bicep injury by suggesting in a comment, “Or maybe take a rest 😂.”
The “TRUSTFALL” singer, 45, was waylaid by health issues of her own on her most recent tour, forcing her to cancel a concert at Bern, Switzerland’s Stadion Wankdorf last July. But she pressed on, touring through Europe and returning to America to play the last Summer Carnival stop in Orlando in November.
