Las Vegas Airport Just Got a Swanky New Lounge—With Caviar, Craft Beer, and Sunset Toasts

  • Capital One just opened its highly anticipated lounge at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport in Terminal 1, Concourse D, near gate 50.
  • Exclusive-to-Vegas amenities include afternoon tea, sunset sparkling wine toasts, and wellness boosts.
  • The full-service bar, with its impressive design and bespoke cocktail and craft beer program, is sure to be a traveler favorite.

The wait is over. Capital One has unveiled a sleek new airport lounge at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), partnering with several well-known local businesses to provide coffee, desserts, and hand-crafted beer.

Located in Terminal 1, Concourse D, near gate 50, the lounge is roughly 8,200 square feet with seating for 135 guests—similar in size to Capital One’s lounge at Washington Dulles (IAD). From its upper level, the Las Vegas location overlooks the airport’s busy rotunda, providing some people-watching opportunities while also providing views of the tarmac and Strip skyline in the distance. It will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Design

Guests will check in under a mirrored ceiling in a spacious lobby that also serves as the lounge’s signature grab-and-go area. Here, travelers pressed for time can grab everything from water and coffee to a fruit cup, cauliflower wrap, or a white bean chickpea salad.

Inspired by the colors of the desert, the main room mixes earth tones that play off the white, tan, and red sandstone landscape just miles away. To further connect with the community, Capital One teamed with more than a dozen local artists to fill the walls with vibrant abstract landscape paintings, including one of the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, and portraits of the people who call the desert home.

There are several seating options throughout the space, from individual stools overlooking the rotunda to circular tables outfitted with purse hooks and power outlets. In fact, every seat has its own charging station.

There are also two reservation-only private workspaces that act as quiet rooms where business travelers can take a call and a dimly lit relaxation room with ceiling lights that give it the feel of the nighttime sky. All six of the gender-neutral restrooms are equipped with changing tables.

The design of the full-service bar may just steal the show. It features black tiles that cascade toward the floor while tubular lighting flickers overhead, reflecting off the mirrored ceiling above.

Food

Capital One prides itself on offering a well-curated small plates menu of healthy options. The individually plated dishes are provided buffet-style. Breakfast options include a Greek yogurt parfait, avocado toast with smoked salmon, cinnamon oatmeal, and an extraordinary chili crisp sweet potato hash.

The all-day menu has several highlights. Among them: deviled eggs topped with caviar, falafel hummus bowls, lemon-herb chicken and farro bowls, and a braised short rib with whipped parsnip and truffle jus.

A fun multi-tap self-serve system of artisanal sodas in a number of interesting flavors such as pineapple cream, citrus hibiscus orange, and black cherry tarragon is also available.

When it comes to coffee and desserts, Capital One collaborated with two local standouts. Vesta Coffee Roasters, founded by Jerad Jay in 2015, will provide its locally roasted Goddess Blend to lounge guests, while Las Vegas Japanese-style pastry shop Suzuya Patisserie will provide pastries and macaroons.

Cocktails

Craft cocktails and exclusive, locally brewed beers make up a sizable beverage program starting with the Green Goblin—named after its electric green hue. This frozen concoction is a collaboration with the cocktail experts at Herbs & Rye. Served from a slushie machine, it combines Fords Gin, dry riesling, kiwi, pineapple, and Absinthe Vert and is served in a clay mug handcrafted by a Las Vegas artisan.

Bartenders are also mixing several signature cocktails, including a Bloody Mary with Scotch bonnet and serrano chilis, and three spirit-forward “classic Vegas” cocktails including a tequila, pear and pomegranate margarita called Cop in a Raincoat—a nod to a line in the Hunter S. Thompson novel “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.”

For this installation of Capital One’s “Perfect Airport Beer” program, which hands over the reins to a local brewer to develop and create their ideal airport lounge sipper, the female brewers from Las Vegas Brewing Company came up with a refreshing, malty Vienna Lager. Additionally, guests can purchase rare liquors and wines as part of the “Rare Bottle Club” program that Capital One has established across all of its lounges.

Breakout work rooms and phone booths are available in the space.

Las Vegas Exclusives

In the spirit of wellness, the Las Vegas lounge will be the first to offer beverage add-ons to boost any drink. If you need to hydrate, relax, or re-energize, tell the bartender and they’ll stir in a quick fix using ingredients like nano potassium, purple passionflower, nano magnesium, ashwagandha, and vitamin C.

Another first for a Capital One Lounge is the introduction of “Daily Rituals.” These experiences will be offered from a roaming trolley cart throughout the day:

  • Morning Caffè Shakerato: An Italian-style shaken iced coffee with optional alcohol add-ons available each morning.
  • Afternoon Tea Service: This service features a wellness tea blend from the Art of Tea paired with pastries from Suzuya Patisserie.
  • Sunset Sparkling Toast: Say “cheers” to the sunset with sparkling wine.

How to Access the Lounge

Kennedy Airport (JFK) with a debut expected later in 2025. Capital One also has plans to bring its Capital One Landing concept to New York’s LaGuardia Airport’s (LGA) Terminal B.
