Labubus Are the Most Exclusive Fashion Accessory of 2025—Here’s Where to Find One

If you’ve seen a fluffy doll with bunny ears and a toothy grin dangling off a purse (kind of cute, kind of scary), that isn’t just any old plushie. It’s a Labubu doll, one of the most covetable accessories of 2025—and often out of stock—that has people literally whispering to each other about where to find the local supply.

There’ve been over 2 million searches for “Labubu doll” and “Labubu keychain” in the last 30 days, and fashion re-selling platform Poshmark tells us that they’ve seen both listings and searches increase 80% and 120% respectively from April to May. Basically: people are going nuts over these little creatures.

Why? Here’s everything you need to know.

Labubus are collectible designer toys created by artist Kasing Lung as part of “The Monsters” line from Chinese toy company Pop Mart, known for their mischievous expressions, sharp little teeth, and quirky charm, says Kate Franco, VP of Customer Engagement at Poshmark. She says, “They were originally part of a fantasy-inspired picture book series and gained global popularity through a collaboration with Pop Mart.”

Labubu dolls are kind of like a mashup up of quirky toy meets Beanie Babies meets emotional support doll—but make it high fashion. They’re collectible, weirdly cute, and hard to come by due to soaring demand. And right now? Everybody wants one (or three).

Why Are Lububus So Popular?

So what is it about Labubu dolls that makes them so covetable right now? Part of it is that they feel collectible thanks to all the different versions, but they also have a sort of maximalist kitschiness to them that feels like a big sigh of relief after months of quiet luxury

“I think their popularity is tied to the broader trend of comfort core meets camp,” says  Nina Vargas, celebrity stylist and business strategist. “We’ve seen a huge rise in nostalgic, character-driven fashion, from Hello Kitty to Sanrio crossovers and Y2K influences.” (Franco adds that Labubu dolls are also riding the tails of Sonny Angels popularity.)

Celebrities and TikTok creators who treated Labubu dolls as luxury mascots have also helped catapult this plush accessory into stratospheric fame. Perhaps the most notable example is Lisa from the K-Pop group Blackpink, who attached the dolls to her Louis Vuitton purse back in 2024 well before they were popular. This turned into an iconic moment that sparked a tidal wave of influenced fashionistas, and it ultimately turned the dolls into a full-blown fashion must-have, with even celebs like Kim Kardashian following suit.

And the other element that makes Labubus so popular? Its exclusivity. Because they’re so hard to get, it makes you want them more. They come in blind boxes so the hunt becomes harder if you have a particular color or monster in mind, and the reveal itself is a fun factor that adds to the thrill of the collectible. In fact, Labubu unboxings are becoming its own popular video category on TikTok.

Where to Find Labubus

As for where to find Labubu dolls, keep your eyes on restocks at the PopMart website (they release them first online every Thursday at 9 p.m. and in stores on Fridays at 10 a.m.), PopMart brick and mortar stores, and Pop Mart vending machines. Also check out secondhand retailers like eBay and Poshmark.

That being said, be very wary of Lafufus (fake Labubus), which are swarming the market right now. Chances are that if the price is too low, it’s too good to be true. The dolls cost anywhere between $22 and several hundred dollars for more rare designs.

How to Style Labubus

The beauty of Labubu dolls is that they’re super easy to work into your outfit, and the entire point is for them to stand out and make a statement.

“Treat it like a bag charm, but let it steal the show. Pair it with structured looks to offset the softness. For example, my black blazer and Labubu combo is undefeated,” Vargas says. “Go full chaos and match it with other plush or fuzzy textures. It’s fashion, not logic. Or keep it tongue in cheek and clip it onto your gym bag, because even your athleisure deserves a moment.”
