We can all agree that moms are the best, right?
They do so much for us while dealing with our childhood screams from our rooms, like, “Mooooooommm, have you seen my sweater?” or “Mooooooommm, where are my shoes?” Or worst of all, “mooooommmm I forgot there’s a bake sale tomorrow and I need 300 cupcakes!”
And all they likely received in return was a quick thanks, or if they were really lucky, a homemade dried pasta necklace on Mother’s Day. But this year, Kraft is helping us all level up with a way to say, “sorry I was such a pain in the butt as a kid” and “thank you, mom” all at once.
On Wednesday, the brand unveiled the limited-edition Kraft Mac & Cheese x Ring Concierge Forever Macaroni Necklace. Kraft noted that it’s the ultimate homage to the classic gift; only this time, it’s a 14-karat gold noodle strung on a 16-inch gold chain. And yes, it’s presented in a blue box — Kraft Mac & Cheese royal blue, to be exact.
“For nearly a century, Kraft Mac & Cheese has given moms fun, delicious, and trusted ways to care for their families at mealtime,” Alyssa Galiardo, the associate brand communications manager at Kraft Mac & Cheese, shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. “This Mother’s Day, we’re offering families the ultimate way to say thank you, with an elevated twist on a timeless tradition. We hope families feel good knowing each time mom catches a glimpse of the golden noodle, she’ll remember special moments spent with her family, especially those enjoyed together over a bowl of Kraft Mac & Cheese.”
The company also noted that, despite this being a more high-end noodle than it usually sells, it still wants to keep things accessible, just as it does with its macaroni and cheese. So, it’s offering the gold necklace at a “record low price – celebrating moms everywhere with gold that’s just as solid as she is.” So, it’s selling it for just $25, starting May 1st, exclusively at ringconcierge.com.
“There’s something really beautiful about taking a childhood ritual — like gifting your mom a handmade macaroni necklace — and turning it into a real piece of fine jewelry,” Nicole Wegman, founder and CEO of Ring Concierge, added. “As someone who grew up loving Kraft Mac & Cheese, and now makes it for my kids, I was so excited to reimagine it through a luxury lens.”
