  • Mark Consuelos previewed un upcoming segment about “fun” kids activities on Live.
  • Kelly Ripa paused the introduction to warn the audience that the activities are “never that fun.”
  • Consuelos nervously chuckled after his wife’s admission.

Kelly Ripa just gave a glowing tease for an upcoming segment on Live, as she promised viewers that a summer-themed segment about “fun” kids activities would highlight things that are “never that fun.”

After the show returned from a commercial break Thursday morning ahead of an interview with actor Orlando Bloom, Ripa promised that tomorrow’s episode would include an interview with Jon Hamm and a “sizzling city series” cooking portion with Michael Symon.

“As school is winding down, we’ll give you a look at fun activities you can do with your kids this summer,” Mark Consuelos added, before Ripa jumped in to provide insight as to how she really felt about the bit.

“Listen, I’m just going to say something,” Ripa said, turning toward the audience. “The activities are never that fun.”

Consuelos then nervously laughed as his wife continued.

“I’m going out on a limb and say, we’re going to show you activities that you’re probably not going to do with your kids this summer,” Ripa admitted.

The pair then moved the interview along, and welcomed Bloom out from backstage.

Ripa’s admission comes amid several other comical developments on Live, including the couple’s loss during a televised spelling bee that saw them incorrectly spell the word “fuchsia” — which ended with Ripa slamming down her note card and Consuelos pretending to walk off set.

Her distaste for the activities also joins Ripa’s growing list of things she’s spoken up against on the air, which, in the past, included “ingrate” neighborhood children who complained about her Halloween candy and her neighbors who made a noise complaint against her family in 1999.

Live With Kelly and Mark airs weekdays in syndication. Check your local listings for showtimes in your area.
