Jack Wagner has made his career in soaps — The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital, and Melrose Place among them — and he’s soon returning to the former.
The actor was back on the set on Thursday, and his new story arc will air June 13, according to Deadline. Audiences will see his character Nick Marone reunite with his ex, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), at a vulnerable point for her. She’s having problems in her relationship with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and the resurfacing of Marone offers her comfort and a fresh start just when she needs it.
Wagner was part of the show’s cast from 2003 to 2012, but he made a return on a 2022 episode to mark the series’ 35th anniversary.
The soap opera veteran has also worked on shows such as Santa Barbara, Knots Landing, and, most recently, on Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart.
He said on a recent episode of Melrose Place rewatch podcast, Still the Place, that the fans of When Calls the Heart remind him of General Hospital devotees of the 1980s.

“I still get called Frisco probably more than anything,” Wagner said of Frisco Jones, the character he played on GH from 1983 to 1995 and again in 2013. “When a fan base starts to fall in love with the characters, it’s very real for them.”
Just last month, Wagner attempted to explain just how big Frisco was when he was introduced.

“General Hospital was such a massive show in the ’80s for a generation of women,” Wagner told Us Weekly. “That generation is now in their 60s. They see me and they’re like, ‘Wait, wait, you don’t understand!’
He added, “I do understand! They’re so overwhelmed because that was such a huge show.”
Over his career, Wagner has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards: one for General Hospital and two for playing Nick, the role he’s now reprising on The Bold and the Beautiful.
