Ever dreamed of riding into the danger zone as a Top Gun recruit? Well, you’ll soon get your chance.
Paramount Global and Advent Allen Entertainment announced Friday that they are partnering to create an immersive Top Gun experience set to touch down in Las Vegas in summer 2028.
Currently titled Top Gun Las Vegas, the high-octane adventure destination will be located at the Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower, and is set to boast a variety of gravity-defying thrill rides as well as a reimagined version of Penny’s iconic Hard Deck bar from Top Gun: Maverick.
“The Top Gun films are one of the most emotionally charged stories of our time,” Mark Advent, co-founder of Advent Allen Entertainment and creator of the legendary New York New York Hotel & Casino, said in a press release. “We’re proud to unite with Paramount to bring this timeless, action-packed epic to life — delivering experiences that embody teamwork, excellence, the exhilaration of speed, and the thrill of flying. We are pulling out all the stops and looking forward to bringing Top Gun to even higher heights on the Strip and beyond!”

Pam Kaufman, President and CEO of International Markets, Global Consumer Products, and Experiences at Paramount, said the venture “marks a new milestone for Top Gun,” adding, “Paramount is committed to delivering authentic, mind-blowing experiences for fans, and Mark Advent and [Advent Allen Entertainment co-leader] Bill Allen are the perfect team to make this destination soar.”
While it is not clear if the stars of Top Gun or Maverick will reprise their roles in any capacity for the experience, Top Gun Las Vegas will feature a combination of daring rides, live entertainment, and dining experiences that aims to evoke the same spirit of the Tom Cruise–led 1986 action film and its 2022 sequel.
That includes giving guests the chance to step into the cockpit themselves through fighter jet simulators, as well as a currently unnamed high-stakes thrill ride in which they will be assigned their very own pulse-pounding mission, brought to life using state-of-the-art ride systems and immersive technology.

Those who’d prefer to stay earthbound will still be able to take in a meal and a show at the new Hard Deck bar and restaurant, which will, naturally, feature live piano sing-alongs throughout the day. In other words, make sure you’ve brushed up on Penny’s bar rules and the lyrics to Jerry Lee Lewis’ 1957 hit “Great Balls of Fire” if you want to have the best time.

And if the mission that is Top Gun Las Vegas is a success, it may not be the only experience of its kind. Paramount and Advent Allen Entertainment have confirmed in a press release that they are already exploring plans to launch the experience at several additional locations across the United States and the rest of the globe.
This isn’t the first time Paramount has tried bringing the thrilling energy of the Top Gun films to life. Four Top Gun–branded roller coasters were scattered at Paramount parks across the United States, but their names have since been changed after the company sold the parks over the years.
