I’m a Target-Obsessed Shopping Writer, and I’m Grabbing These 17 Spring Fashion Finds Before They’re Gone

The start of this year has felt like a lot. When I need something happy to ground me or help me to look ahead, I love looking through Target’s newest arrivals for the upcoming season. Does it fix anything happening in my world? No, but sometimes picking up a dress I can imagine wearing on a trip or even just on a sunny day is everything I need to add some pep back into my step. The two types of clothing I purchase the most from Target are activewear and dresses, and the retailer’s newest arrivals offer plenty of pieces to choose from. This pretty eyelet skater dress is the first item that jumped into my cart. It looks like a great Easter dress, or something to pair with your favorite sandals on days you want to get ready quickly and still feel completely put together. I’m also eyeing these cute scallop leggings that I predict will sell out very quickly. Outside of my favorite Target clothing categories, I spotted this fun collared short-sleeve sweater that I imagine pairing with wide-leg jeans, and I also know I’ll wear this cropped barn jacket or this cropped chore jacket on repeat throughout spring and again during fall. 

Universal Thread Short Sleeve Eyelet Mini Skater Dress

Before I dove into Target’s newest arrivals online, I actually spotted this dress in person during a recent visit to my local store. I was shopping quickly that day, so I didn’t pick it up. But I’ve thought about it ever since. The dress is made from cotton and has a above-the-knee mini length with pretty flutter short sleeves complete with eyelet details. I love the soft blue shade, but you can also shop it in white in sizes XS to 4X.

All in Motion Airy Sleek Legging-Friendly Full-Zip Jacket

Cozy layers aren’t always the most flattering, which is why I’m obsessed with this full-zip jacket from Target’s in-house brand, All in Motion. It’s made from recycled polyester, rayon, and spandex, a blend that’s designed to move with you. The full-zip makes it easy to put on and take off, and the mock turtleneck collar will offer extra warmth in low temperatures. But my favorite details are the legging-friendly length and how the jacket cinches at the waist to help to define your shape. I can’t believe this is only $35—score one while you can.

Universal Thread Cropped Barn Jacket

If you’re wondering how this cute spring jacket is only $40, you’re not alone. This is the first cropped barn jacket I’ve seen, and I already know I don’t have to shop around for other options—this is the one. The exterior of the coat is made from cotton, and the interior lining is made from polyester for added warmth. I especially love the design details: a classic brown collar, generously-sized dual front pockets, cropped length, and full zipper. The barn jacket is selling quickly, but it’s still in stock in XS to 4X (for now). 

JoyLab Scallop Detail High-Rise 7/8 Leggings

Whether they’re on throw pillows or clothing, scallops are one of my favorite details, so these leggings are an immediate yes. The nylon and spandex high-rise leggings are designed for all types of workouts as well as days when you would rather wear athleisure to relax at home and run errands. I love that they’re available in a classic black and also in fun, spring-ready colors like light blue and pink in sizes XS to XXL. If you really want to show off the scallops, pick up the matching sports bra, too. 

A New Day Sandwash Pullover

The A New Day Sandwash Pullover is another item I happened upon while shopping in person, and the fabric is what stands out the most: It’s buttery soft. The sweatshirt simply pulls on for easy wear; it has a crew neckline, drop-shoulder sleeves, and a long hem length that hits around your hips.
