William Levy, the actor known for his work on telenovelas and his run on Dancing With the Stars, has been arrested in South Florida on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing.
The 44-year-old Cuban American actor and former model, whose full name is William Gutiérrez Levy, was booked into Broward County’s Main Jail on Monday after being arrested in Weston. According to public records, he is facing two misdemeanor charges: disorderly intoxication in a public place and trespassing on occupied property.
As of midday Tuesday, Levy was awaiting trial, with his bond set at $500.
Representatives for Levy and for the Broward Sheriff’s Office didn’t immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly‘s request for comment.
Levy competed on season 14 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, where he was partnered with two-time champion Cheryl Burke. The duo came in third place. A year prior, in 2011, Levy appeared in the Jennifer Lopez‘s music video for “I’m Into You.” He most recently starred in the Telemundo series Vuelve a mí, on which he also served as a producer.
Levy’s arrest comes one year after police responded to an alleged domestic dispute between him and his former partner of two decades, actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez, at their Southwest Ranches residence. In the wake of the incident, People en Español obtained police reports chronicling a series of domestic disputes dating back to October 2023, in which Gutiérrez allegedly expressed concern over Levy’s drinking habits.

Levy addressed her claims in an interview with El Gordo y la Flaca. “Many lies have been told about me, and serious accusations have been made. I can tolerate a lot, but when it comes to defamation, that’s something I cannot let slide,” Levy said, according to a translation from The Latin Times. “Eventually, those responsible will have to pay for it.”
Levy also affirmed that his teenage children with Gutiérrez — son Christopher Alexander and daughter Kailey Alexandra — were his top priority.
“We are all suffering, but the ones who suffer the most are my children,” he said. “I’ve tried to stay silent for their sake, but there comes a point where I can no longer allow this defamation to continue.”
