Are you someone who goes absolutely bonkers for all the saltiest snacks out there? Then, man, oh man, today is your day.
On Monday, Wonderful Pistachios announced that it’s adding a brand-new flavor to its lineup: Dill Pickle. Yes, that’s right. The perfect bar snack is finally here.
According to the brand, the shell-free pistachios (because who wants a pesky shell getting in the way of this snack?) are now available in a 2.25-ounce bag at retailers across the United States. It noted that the snack caters to “consumers seeking adventurous snacking experiences,” but it also seems ideal for those looking for a laid-back snacking experience, too, doesn’t it?
“It might be April Fool’s, but this is no joke. We’re excited for Dill Pickle to push the flavor boundaries of what people expect healthy snacks to taste like in 2025,” Diana Salsa, vice president of marketing for Wonderful Pistachios, shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. “With No Shells Dill Pickle pistachios, consumers no longer have to choose between flavor and fun or nutritious and healthy, because they can have it all.”
Those eager to get their hands on a bag can also purchase them online from Amazon, available in an eight-pack or individually. However, the company did give a special shoutout to its convenience store fanbase, noting that the dill pickle flavor trend tends to perform “exceptionally well” in this category.
And really, this aligns perfectly with all those 2025 trend predictions, including the Pinterest Predicts report, which named “pickles” as a top trend for the year.
It’s also far from the only snack brand taking notice. In February, Cheetos unveiled its first-ever pickle flavor with the Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle, and in June of last year, Goldfish embraced the trend early when it released a limited-time Spicy Dill Pickle flavor. Pringles also re-released its fan-favorite Pringles Dill Pickle. Caulipower even launched its first-ever Dill Pickle Pizza, which it described as a “bold creation that will satisfy consumers’ cravings in a healthier way.”
This new Dill Pickle Pistachio flavor joins the brand’s other No Shell products, including its Roasted & Salted, Lightly Salted, Unsalted, Jalapeño Lime, Chili Roasted, Sea Salt & Vinegar, Sea Salt & Pepper, Honey Roasted, and Smoky Barbecue offerings. But still, none of these have quite the “it” factor dill pickle does right now.
