The force said in a statement that it received reports about 3.30pm that the driver of a car and several cyclists had collided, before the driver hit a tree on Long Swamp Road.

Three other cyclists were injured and treated at the scene.
The driver was trapped in the car but released shortly after emergency services arrived and was also being treated at the scene.
The conditions of all those injured were unknown, police said.
“Officers from New England police district have established a crime scene, which will be examined by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit,” NSW police said in a statement.
