Amazon Just Dropped This New Tiny House With Huge Cabin Vibes and I’m Ready to Move to the Woods

When I was in grad school, I rented an unbelievably tiny studio apartment in a small town. As if that wasn’t remote enough, I could easily escape to a lake house an hour away, and did so frequently. Not only did I get used to this lifestyle, I came to enjoy both the small space and the proximity to nature. Now, however, I live in a roomy apartment in the middle of bustling Chicago with my wife and two cats —  a very different situation. I’m not going to say I dream about moving to the woods, but when I stumble across a tiny house that catches my eye, I can’t say I don’t daydream a bit. 

Earlier this week, as I was scrolling through recent tiny homes on Amazon, I saw a beautiful, cabin-esque tiny home that looked like a perfect respite — in fact, it’s the No. 3 new release in the Amazon category. Whether seeking your forever home, a verdant getaway, or something in between, this tiny house brings legitimate cabin energy.

First of all, this tiny home looks like you scooped it up right out of the Ozarks. I love the wood paneling and dark accents of the exterior. Those combined with the modern-feeling glass panes give it a super homey, country feel. It’s about 20 square feet and 8 feet tall — hence its distinction as a tiny home — but looks very comfortable and has all the amenities you could want, including a full bathroom, kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms. Frankly, as an upgrade from my grad school studio, I’d be thrilled to have anything with multiple rooms, but this tiny home goes beyond, offering you a lot of different spaces so you can truly make it your own. 

This tiny home has durable, safe construction and is made to withstand strong weather, from wind to storms and snow. On that note, it’s easy to build and has a lifespan of up to 20 years, so while it may be small, it’s definitely not temporary. Also, the price is quite reasonable — most of the tiny homes I look at are considerably more than this, and, in my opinion, are far less attractive. 

The cabin vibes are strong with this tiny home. I can imagine putting together an outdoor grill behind it with a patio table, reading a book, and enjoying nature. But that’s just me — this house would really look good anywhere, whether you’re in a big city, a small town, or completely off the grid. Even if you already own a regular-sized home, this could be a formidable backyard haven. Whatever your endgame, this tiny home has major charm.
