‘A place with its own rules’: London’s Square Mile – in pictures


‘The 21st-century Square Mile has had a lot of glass-fronted buildings added to its ancient stone-walled ones, which gives lots of great opportunities for photographers to play with reflections. I look at this area very much as a street photographer, capturing candid moments in the flow of human traffic around me. I try to look towards graphic, strongly lit scenes – pockets of light and light reflections from windows hitting the pavements below; as figures, shadows and silhouettes mix on its streets’
