Everyone knows that the ultimate food pairing is pizza and soda. Seriously, name a better duo. We’ll wait. But rather than have you sipping the same old bubbly beverage, Mountain Dew and Little Caesars are bringing you something fresh.
This week, the two companies announced their new partnership, which will see a brand-new soda flavor being served at Little Caesars shops nationwide. And the flavor is certainly a trending one: Mountain Dew Mango Rush.
“We’re excited to team up with Mountain Dew for the first time, especially given the success of Pepsi Pineapple and past flavor exclusives,” Greg Hamilton, the chief marketing officer at Little Caesars, said. “Little Caesars customers seek out flavors to complement our fan-favorite offerings, which is why Mountain Dew Mango Rush is such a great fit.”
According to Mountain Dew, the tropical drink blends “the refreshing citrus taste of Mountain Dew with a bold kick of mango flavor,” it shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. It noted that the creation of the new drink was a true collaboration to give Little Caesars’ fans “more of the fruit-forward flavor they crave, perfectly pairing with their favorite Little Caesars pizza.”
And if you’re not sure if you’d like the flavor, think of it this way: Have you ever had pineapple on pizza? Before you judge, you really should try it, as the citrus is a nice punch of flavor on top of the melty cheese. And this new fruit-forward soda delivers a similar kick between each bite of your favorite pie.

“One thing Mountain Dew and Little Caesars fans both share is a thirst for adventurous flavors,” Scott Finlow, the chief marketing officer of PepsiCo Away From Home, added. “With Mountain Dew Mango Rush, our goal was to collaborate with Little Caesars to create a new, refreshing beverage that pizza and Dew enthusiasts will love.”
Mountain Dew Mango Rush will be available in a collectible 16-ounce can with a co-branded design, for a limited time while supplies last, starting on May 5, exclusively at Little Caesars shops.
This, however, isn’t the only thing Mountain Dew has in the works. In late March, its sister brand Hard Mtn Dew also announced that it’s adding Hard Mtn Dew Code Red to its Hard Mtn Dew lineup in “all its cherry-citrusy deliciousness.” It’s now available at retailers nationwide in 24-ounce cans, just in case you’d rather enjoy an adult beverage with your pizza.
