‘The White Lotus’ Hits 3.4 Million Viewers With Second Episode of Season 3, Up 40% From Premiere

The White Lotus” hit 3.4 million viewers with the second episode of its third season on Sunday night, marking a 40% increase from the season premiere the week before.

That total comes from a combination of Nielsen’s measurement of linear viewers on HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery’s own measurement of streams on Max. WBD also reports that the Season 3 premiere has surpassed 10.2 million viewers in the week since its release, rising from its 2.4 million same-day viewers. Episode 1 made a 57% increase on the viewership achieved by the Season 2 premiere in 2022 and has only increased on that momentum, as evidenced by the fact that its current total is 92% above where the Season 2 premiere was tracking after the same amount of time.

Based on the streaming performance of the first two episodes of Season 3, WBD is touting “The White Lotus” as its second biggest returning season in the history of Max, behind only “House of the Dragon” — a significant feat, given that the latter has the advantage of building off of the major IP of “Game of Thrones.”

Season 3 of “The White Lotus” is set in Koh Samui, Thailand, after Seasons 1 and 2 took place at fictional White Lotus resorts in Hawaii and Italy, respectively. Natasha Rothwell reprises her Season 1 role, Belinda Lindsey, and is joined in the cast by Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola. Mike White serves as creator and executive producer.
