Miami’s trendy Mid Beach neighborhood is a haven of laid-back luxury, its sandy shores lined with chic hotels, glitzy nightclubs, and drool-worthy dining options—and this spring, it’s set to welcome Andaz Miami Beach, the first Florida property from Hyatt’s elevated Andaz brand.

World of Hyatt members should mark their calendars for March 2025, when the newly renovated property is set to open its doors on iconic Collins Avenue, complete with a private beach, an ocean-view check-in experience, two pools, a spa, and a trio of dining options. The space, spread across three towers overlooking the Atlantic, is a complete reimagining of the historic Confidante Miami Beach. The hotel’s original 1930s Spanish-inspired beach house has been carefully maintained, now refurbished as Andaz’s exclusive private VIP club.
“The development of Andaz Miami Beach was centered on preserving the property’s rich history while transforming and introducing a contemporary, free-flowing aesthetic inspired by the ocean,” Fernando Rivera, general manager of Andaz Miami Beach, told Travel + Leisure. “The EoA Group’s design eliminates sharp corners throughout the hotel, creating an organic, wave-like movement that reflects the dynamic rhythm of the sea.”

The property will span 287 guest rooms, including 64 suites—many of which can be combined for families or friends traveling together. The spacious rooms are done up in soothing neutrals with accents of sea-blue. Everything here is curved, from the rounded headboards and ocean-inspired throw rugs to the sculptural ceiling and mirrors. Light-filled rooms offer views of the city’s skyline, while beachfront suites boast floor-to-ceiling windows, charming balconies, or sprawling terraces overlooking the ocean. In the bathrooms, which feature generous showers or deep soaking tubs, you can give your salty skin a refresh with refillable Byredo toiletries.

For a proper pampering, the Ondara Spa—set to open by summer—will offer indulgent night-to-day programming, featuring rejuvenating afternoon and evening services to prep guests for a night out, as well as morning recovery treatments. There will also be a 24-hour fitness center, equipped with Peloton bikes and a Tonal machine.
Food-focused travelers will be delighted by the hotel’s partnership with José Andrés Group, who will helm three unique dining experiences at the property, including a signature restaurant, a craft cocktail bar, and an elevated space dedicated to modern cuisine, all with a focus on locally sourced ingredients.

“Our commitment to celebrating Miami’s local spirit will shine through in our culinary and beverage offerings, where we proudly feature locally sourced products,” said Rivera, noting they’ll offer coffee from Perla, a local roaster, and craft beer from Wynwood breweries, including Hazy IPA and La Playita.
That sustainable mindset extends to the property at large, according to Rivera. “Sustainability is at the core of Andaz Miami Beach, seamlessly integrated into our operations, guest experiences, and design,” he explained, noting the hotel is 95 percent LED-compliant and features low-flow water systems; guests will also be provided with refillable water bottles, and water fountains are stationed throughout the hotel in a bid to minimize single-use plastics.
“The design of Andaz Miami Beach is deeply rooted in Miami’s vibrant culture, art deco heritage, and the natural beauty of the Atlantic Ocean,” Rivera said, adding that the hotel will offer a taste of local life with salsa lessons, guided architectural walks, Miami-themed trivia nights, and a meditative mala-making class.
