I love that the retailer has plenty of options, including loungewear, cozy home finds, great beauty, and entertainment favorites, and you can even shop its gift storefronts by price, which is extra handy.
Finding 20 gifts to give for $40 or less wasn’t tricky; the hard part was narrowing down the 32 pages of options to just a few items. But I landed on a great selection that includes the special edition of “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid, a Clinique duo of best-selling products, the ultra-popular Kitsch 4-Piece Satin Heatless Curling Set, a helpful Open Story 7-Piece Packing Cube Set, an All In Motion Airy Sleek Legging-Friendly Hooded Sweatshirt, and so much more.

“The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid Deluxe Edition
Book people are some of the best people, and my loved ones and I are always excited to share what we’ve enjoyed reading. “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of the best books I’ve ever read. It tells the story of the seven husbands a famous actress was married to, and it weaves together a secondary tale about a writer creating a piece about the actress for a magazine. This is a page-turner I couldn’t put down! The hardcover deluxe edition is beautiful for someone with a bookshelf, or you can scoop up the paperback for $10.
Apple AirTag
My Apple AirTag is a must whenever I fly. I tuck it inside my suitcase just in case my bag ever gets lost because it pings my iPhone with its location. I love the peace of mind in always knowing where my bag is even when it’s not with me. You can also clip AirTags to other things you don’t want to lose, like car keys, backpacks, and pet collars. These are a handy stocking stuffer or white elephant gift, if you’re in the market.
Brookstone Heated Cozy Throw
As temperatures dip in winter, it can feel like an endless slog to try to stay warm. The Brookstone Heated Cozy Throw changes everything for just $21. The blanket is made from fleece, so it’s soft to snuggle up with already. But the four heat settings that you can choose from, along with the four-hour automatic shut-off, turn this throw into a blanket that’s far above average. Keep in mind that your recipient will need to plug the blanket into an outlet to use it.
Auden Amira Clog Slippers
These clog slippers by shopper-favorite brand Auden are a popular pick at Target. They’re only $30, which is a fraction of the price of slippers from another brand that look almost identical. The clogs are made from genuine suede with cushioned footbeds and rubber soles that allow you to wear the slippers inside and outside. While they’re still in stock, score a pair in black or brown in sizes 6 to 11. “Buy them! They are comfortable, keep your feet warm, and fit like a glove,” wrote one reviewer.
Clinique Cult Classics On The Go Cosmetic Set
Thanks to Target’s partnership with Ulta Beauty, many popular brands and products are now available at the retailer, including Clinique’s Cult Classics On the Go Cosmetic Set. Both the High Impact Mascara in black and the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey are included in the duo that’s only $18—less than what each product costs on its own. Shop it before it disappears.
Target is a forever holiday shopping solution, and the retailer’s options for gifts for $40 or less don’t disappoint.
