‘Tires’ season 2 cast: See the stars joining (and returning to) Shane Gillis’ Netflix comedy

Comedian, actor, and podcaster Shane Gillis has been on a steady rise in the comedy world. He broke out in 2019 and was later announced as a new cast member of SNL. However, he was fired just five days later after an old podcast clip resurfaced that included offensive language and ethnic slurs. Despite the controversy, Gillis bounced back and has even hosted SNL twice, during seasons 49 and 50.

Gillis hasn’t let the controversy define him, and since 2020, he’s been riding a wave of success with his hit web series, Gilly and Keeves (2020–2021), the popular Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast (2016–present), and two comedy specials: Shane Gillis: Live in Austin (2021) and Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs (2023).

On top of that, Gillis is known for doing a surprisingly spot-on impression of President Donald Trump.

On Tires, Gillis plays a character named Shane, the unmotivated cousin of Will, who works at Valley Forge Automotive Center.

In June 2024, Gillis dropped some behind-the-scenes lore on the Your Mom’s House podcast, revealing that Tires started as a self-funded pilot on YouTube. He and his crew planned to make the show themselves, but after pitching it around, Netflix stepped in and, as Gillis puts it, was “cool enough to buy it and not f— with it.”

Steve Gerben as Will

Steve Gerben is a fresh face in the industry, best known for his role in Tires. Over the years, Gerben has popped up in the Comedy Central sketch show Delco Proper (2016), the web series Gilly and Keeves (2021), and the holiday flick Holly and the Hot Chocolate (2022).

Outside of acting, Steve is praised for his transparency about living with severe arthritis, which has made moving his hands a daily challenge.

On Tires, Gerben plays Will, the anxious and unqualified son of the auto-repair chain’s owner. Will’s been given the job of running one of the worst-performing locations, and though he has the spirit to turn things around, not everyone believes he has the intelligence and grit to actually pull it off.

Chris O’Connor as Cal

Like most of the Tires cast, Chris O’Connor is a comedian who’s arguably best known for his collaborations with Gillis. Most famously, he co-wrote and starred in the mega-viral “Trump Speed Dating” sketch for Gilly and Keeves (2021).

O’Connor also cohosts the podcast Stuff Island (2021–present) with fellow Tires star Tommy Pope. When they’re not podcasting, the dynamic duo cooks up a storm on their show Look at Dish (2023–present), where they whip up various dishes and go on cooking escapades together.

As a stand-up comedian, Chris also tours the country, often hitting the road alongside Gillis and comedian Andrew Santino.

On Tires, Chris plays Cal, a mechanic at the auto shop. Fun fact: He was also part of the original 2019 pilot that first debuted on YouTube.

Kilah Fox as Kilah

Kilah Fox is a stand-up comedian who came up on the Pennsylvania comedy scene alongside Gillis. She kicked off her career starring on Gilly and Keeves, appearing in episodes like “Peloton” and “OnlyFans Dad.” She also made an appearance on Gilly and Keeves: The Special (2022).

When she’s not making people laugh, she volunteers at Camp Erin, a camp dedicated to helping kids cope with grief and loss.

Just like Gillis, Fox plays a character sharing her own name. Her character is the only woman working at Valley Forge Automotive Center.

Stavros Halkias as Dave

Stavros Halkias may be new to Gillis’ comedy team, but he brings plenty of experience to Tires. A seasoned stand-up known for his razor-sharp crowd work, Halkias has been touring the country for over a decade.

He first made a name for himself in 2016 as a founding cohost of the comedy podcast C– Town (2016–2022), but he’s also dipped into the world of basketball commentary, cohosting White Chocolate NBA Pipecast (2018) and Pod Don’t Lie (2019–2022). These days, he hosts Stavvy’s World (2022–present).

Halkias has been racking up onscreen credits, including starring in and co-writing the indie comedy Let’s Start a Cult (2024), as well as appearing on Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring (2019) and Life Fails (2019). His stand-up specials Live at the Lodge Room (2022) and Fat Rascal (2023) cemented his place as one of the brashest voices in comedy today.

On Tires, Halkias portrays Dave, the district manager at Valley Forge Automotive Center.

Thomas Haden Church as Phil

Season 2 of Tires gets a significant upgrade with the addition of Oscar nominee Thomas Haden Church. A familiar face since the early ’90s, Church made his mark appearing on sitcoms like Wings (1990–1995) and Ned and Stacey (1995–1997).

You also might’ve seen him in big-screen hits such as Spider-Man 3 (2007), Easy A (2010), We Bought a Zoo (2011), and, more recently, on HBO’s Divorce (2016–2019) and Peacock’s Twisted Metal (2023–present).

Next up for Church is Kevin Costner’s yet-to-be-released Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2. In addition, he’s set to appear in the third installment of Netflix’s beloved Knives Out film series, Wake Up Dead Man (2025).

On Tires, Church plays Phil, Shane’s rich but childish dad. He lives in Florida and spends most of his time running various businesses (when he’s not goofing off or throwing back several drinks).

Andrew Schulz as Schulz

Like many of his Tires costars, Andrew Schulz is best known for his work as a stand-up comedian. He’s had numerous hit comedy specials, including Infamous (2022) and Life (2025). Since 2019, he’s hosted the podcast Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant With Akash Singh.

But he also brings film experience to the table, seeing as he’s taken on hefty roles in movies like Feast of the Seven Fishes (2019), You People (2023), Upgraded (2024), and The Thicket (2024).

On Tires, Schulz portrays a character with the same name. He’s a recurring character, popping in for just a few episodes.

Tommy Pope as Tommy

A standout in the comedy scene for years, Tommy Pope got his start as part of the sketch comedy groups BirdText and Deer Prom, both of which he co-founded alongside McKeever. As part of those groups, Pope helped create the cult-favorite web shows Real Househusbands of Philadelphia (2011–2012) and Delco Proper.

These days, he continues his comedy career and cohosts the podcast Stuff Island with O’Connor, which features no-holds-barred discussions with a different comedian each episode.

On Tires, Pope is one of many actors to play a character with the same name. He’s also a recurring character, but shows up just enough to steal a few scenes.

Peter Reeves as Jon

Before transitioning to Hollywood, Peter Reeves was a fixture in Milwaukee’s theater and commercial scene (he even taught theater and improvisation). He also worked as a game show host, corporate auctioneer, and speaker for several major companies, including Johnson Controls and Rockwell.

He previously appeared on That Damn Michael Che (2022) and starred in Dispatches From Elsewhere (2020) and Set Me Free (2024). Coming up next for Reeves is the dramedy On a String (2025).

Reeves plays Jon in Tires, Will’s father and the head of Valley Forge Automotive. He doesn’t physically arrive until the season 1 finale, but his presence is felt throughout the show. Will is constantly seeking Jon’s approval, which makes him one of the most intimidating guys on the show.

Veronika Slowikowska as Kelly

Canadian actress and comedian Veronika Slowikowska is gearing up for season 2 of Tires. She first gained prominence in the sketch comedy scene but broke out with her fan-favorite role as Shanice in the horror-comedy hit What We Do in the Shadows (2019–2020).

Since then, Slowikowska has been featured in a range of film and TV projects, including I Like Movies (2022), the Amazon Freevee holiday rom-com EXmas (2023), and the teen series Davey & Jonesie’s Locker (2024). Up next on her résumé is the comedy flick The Gene Pool.

On Tires, Slowikowska plays Kelly. Details about the character are under wraps for now, but she’s one of several stars joining the cast.
