This Under-$200 Chicken Coop on Amazon Might Actually Be Nicer Than Some NYC Apartments

If you already knew that Amazon sells tiny homes—and if not, surprise, they do—you’re likely not shocked that they also sell homes for backyard feathered friends.

We just stumbled upon this highly-rated $170 Ketive Chicken Coop Chicken House and were shocked at its size and amenities. Made to comfortably fit one or two chickens, the waterproof and weather-resistant coop has just about everything your chickens could wish for. We’re talking a roof, window, perch, ramp, and nesting box just for starters. It’s thankfully pretty adorable, too, so you don’t need to worry about it being an eyesore in your backyard. And dare we say the coop may even be nicer than some NYC apartments? After all, the ceilings do look a bit higher than the apartments we’ve seen in the city.

While we’re totally kidding about the apartments (or are we?), the Ketive chicken coop is definitely luxurious enough for your chickens. At 36 inches by 23.6 inches by 36.6 inches, your chickens have plenty of room to stand up, move around, rest, and, of course, lay eggs.

Made of solid fir wood, the coop sits 7.5 inches above the ground and has rubber feet, which both help to improve circulation and prevent damage from standing water or soggy grass.
