Charli xcx Reacts to PinkPantheress Saying She ‘Would Love’ to Collaborate

After working with more than a dozen collaborators on her acclaimed Brat remix album, Charli xcx may have just found her next duet partner: PinkPantheress.

On X Monday (May 12), the “Von Dutch” singer reacted to a post about the “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” musician recently saying that she’d definitely be down to work with Charli someday. In a Paper cover story published the day prior, PinkPantheress had gushed, “I mean, of course. If the opportunity ever comes up, I would love to.”

And in response, Charli returned the interest. “Well hello,” she wrote.

The acknowledgement comes shortly after the Essex-born hitmaker praised PinkPantheress’s music video for new single “Tonight,” which arrived in April. “i love the new pinkpanthress video

Of Charli’s “Tonight” praise, PinkPantheress echoed her previous sentiments during her conversation with Paper. “I will say it makes me s–t myself when I get recognition from any artists that I respect, for sure,” the Bath native said. “It doesn’t matter who, genuinely, I get so excited. When I get recognition from other artists, especially ones that I have looked up to for a long time. Even though I’ve met her, I just love getting praise and hearing praise.”

If the two stars ever do team up in the studio, it would feel like a natural pairing. Both are British singer-songwriters known for their electronic dance and hyperpop influences and for collaborating with other artists — Charli on the Brat remix album in particular and PinkPantheress on the “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” remix with Ice Spice and “Nice to Meet You” with Central Cee.

In the meantime, PinkPantheress is in the midst of promoting her new mixtape, Fancy That, which dropped May 9. “I wanted to create a project that reflected my progress as a producer,” she told Billboard in a recent interview. “Sonically, I genuinely feel it’s my best work.”

Following the success of her Brat era, Charli is turning her sights on screen work. In addition to making a cameo in Amazon’s Overcompensating, she’s also working on conceptualizing a new film titled The Moment that she’ll also potentially star in.
