If there’s one thing that separates Sweetgreen from the rest of the fast-casual salad chains, it’s their top-tier menu collaborations. Sweetgreen has partnered with celebrity chefs like David Chang, Dan Barber, and Nancy Silverton to develop unique, limited-time menu items that attract both new and loyal customers. However, their newest collaboration, launching next week, is perhaps their most exciting one yet.
Starting Tuesday, May 13, Sweetgreen will launch its first-ever Korean-inspired menu in collaboration with Cote, the only Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse in the United States. “Korean barbecue is all about connection — sharing food, stories, and moments around the table,” said Nicolas Jammet, Sweetgreen’s co-founder and chief concept officer, in a statement to Food & Wine. “That spirit of community is something we deeply value at Sweetgreen, and it’s what makes this collaboration with our friends at Cote so exciting.”
Recently named the 10th best steakhouse in the world, it is renowned for blending the traditions of American steakhouses with Korean barbecue. Even if you are fortunate enough to live near one of Cote’s three locations (New York City, Miami, Singapore, and a soon-to-open location in Las Vegas), reservations are difficult to come by. So, this limited-time menu might be your one opportunity to experience the flavors of Cote — at an affordable price, to boot.

In the KBBQ Steak Bowl, the steak is served with spicy roasted broccoli, cucumber kimchi, pickled cabbage, and apple kimchi sauce, served over warm white rice and romaine lettuce. The KBBQ Steak Plate — which Sweetgreen describes as being “ideal for a bold lunch or a comforting dinner” — is the same as the Steak Bowl, minus the lettuce. Their third item, the Cucumber Kimchi Crunch Salad, is a vegetarian alternative featuring a mix of romaine and spring lettuce, roasted sweet potato, cucumber kimchi, spicy broccoli, KBBQ glaze, apple kimchi sauce, pickled cabbage, and crispy onions.
