Allergic reactions flare in the gut after cuts to the skin, mouse research shows

Injuries to a mouse’s skin can ignite allergic reactions in its gut, even though the gut is normally tolerant of the molecules it encounters in food or its resident ,microorganisms, researchers have found¹.
