Black women have been behind some of the most iconic beauty and fashion trends throughout history, so when Black entrepreneurs are designing and creating the pieces and products, you know they’re going to hit. This Black History Month, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite Black Latina-owned businesses. From vibrant headscarves and gorgeous jewelry to bold sunnies and skincare that nourishes, these are the goodies you’ll want to add to your digital shopping cart and actually check out.
Jam+Rico stands for Jamaica and Puerto Rico, a tribute to the founder Lisette Scott’s cultural background, but the jewelry brand’s pieces are inspired by the Caribbean overall. There are entire lines dedicated to countries like Cuba, Aruba, Barbados, and, of course, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. My favorite: The stunning La Isla necklace that’s part of the Santiago collection, a tribute to Scott’s Puerto Rican abuelito.

With plenty of styles and shades to pick from, there’s definitely a pair to guard your eyes and complement your look as the sun starts coming out in full force again. But our fave right now is Lula May, chic sunnies with a subtle cat-eye shape and large blue lenses.
